JUNE : 6

I went for a walk around 10pm tonight through the farm roads. The sky was setting in pinks and it was getting colder. I always seem to get midgies stuck in the back of my throat, forget a jacket, overthink everything about life, develop a temporary cold and get lost when I venture out alone. The world smelt of farm life: horses, fresh manure, dirt caked tyres, wooden fences, subtle hints of dandelions. Listening to the gentle and consistent call of crickets and birds twittering goodnight.

in reference to the ‘overthinking life’ part – my friend sent me this last night in perfect timing. it’s cool how god uses people at the exact moments you might need them.
